My multimedia player in my Ford Galaxy appears to have died. Is there any way of getting a dvd out of it?

I cant get my dvd travel entertainment system thingy to work in the back of the headrests. It looks like there is n opower going to it. Does anyone know how to get a dvd from the console without it costing me a small fortune at the Ford garage?! Thankyou!
