Need help with this mic I bought?

I just got the Plantronics .Audio 655 USB Multimedia Headset from amazon.com. When I inserted the usb into my ps3, I heard people talking on black ops, but i could not speak to them. I tryed going into the settings and everything. Can someone please tell me how to set this microphone up? I really like it but it wont work!
