Can you help me identify my internet?

FTTH means fiber to the home. The fiber terminates in a box on the wall, where the signal is converted from optical to electrical. All the major carriers work the same way. The existing copper in the house connects to the box, and the fiber communicates back to the carrier, Fiber to the desktop - which is the alternative - would require pulling fiber through your walls and putting fiber media in your pc and phone(prohibitively expensive). As long as you configure your pc to obtain an IP address at startup(DHCP enabled), the rest of this is transparent to you.
